Sharing: Five plays from the Gospel of Luke

BBC Radio 4's Afternoon Play programme offers a series of plays based on stories from the Gospel of Luke.

I listened to the first one, The Lake, and quite liked it.

The plays are said to tell the story of Jesus through the eyes of people who, according to the Bible, witnessed him. The Lake uses today's language, suggesting how a prophet in his country would talk if he were living now.
